Are there any 802.11 based tagging/tracking systems? I have found a few Bluetooth based systems (http://www.bluetags.com/ ).
Ideally I need something relatively small that can be worn on a belt. This will be used for locating and tracking people for safety. I am aware of the Ekahau positioning engine but I need a cheap 802.11 device to work with this.
Anyone know of any such devices? I'm guessing power consumption is the major problem for this sort of thing when using 802.11.
