I have a wireless LAN consisting of Cisco 350 Access Point and a Cisco wireless LAN adapter. Is there any way where I can get the Signal Strength value, between the access point and wireless client, from the access point?

Go to you web browser and enter to the access point web setup. Click on associations and find the mac address of your client card. Again click on the mac address and you have an option to make a link test. Linktest just works with cisco wireless adapters. If you have a generic 802.11b card you can check it's signal strenght like this: » Parent [self] Next Hop [self] Current Rate 11.0 Mb/s Operational Rates 11.0B Mb/s Latest Retries 0 short, 0 long >>>>>Latest Signal Str. 55% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Home][Map][Login][Network][Associations][Setup][Logs][Help] Cisco 350 Series Bridge 11.23T ® Copyright 2002 Cisco Systems, Inc. credits wi-fiplanet.com
