OK guys i hope this will help.. The problem was this: i have this laptop and for spyware reasons i opted to get it formatted and consequently have windows reinstalled. So far so good. I got it done and then i proceeded to install the drivers. I installed everything from the CD which came with the laptop itself. and everything installed perfectly. EXCEPT the darned wireless network card. The CD application did not install it at all and when I searched for new hardware through Add/Remove hardware, windows found a device which it named "Network Controller" which I imagine is the wireless adapter (if it isnt forgive my IT illiteracy). I made it look for the device driver everywhere. I downloaded the driver from the laptop's website. It is a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook C Series C1110D. I used the DeskUpdate both from the site and from the CD but still the network adapter is being seen but it is not being linked with its appropriate driver. So I proceeded in choosing the driver myself through a manual installation. What happened was that the good-old Device Manager pasted a lovely Exclamation Mark and displayed Code 10. After many trials of uninstall and reinstall and updating and everything i dont know what to do. I thought it would be a conflict between the Ethernet and the Wireless but it doesnt seem to be so. Please I need some serious help. I am pasting the results of the properties of both wireless and ethernet

Hope you guys can help coz I have no idea what's going on. Oh and btw.. wireless used to work perfectly before the reinstallation of windows. But i dont see why a windows reinstallation should affect it since i am giving it back all drivers and stuff. Maybe it is some form of update i need for windows? help me out pls guys!!!

I had the exact same problem on a Compaq Presario desktop with a Dlink DWL-520+ when I re-installed XP Pro. As trying the drivers from DLink where I always got the Code 10 I checked with some of the techies at work and they suggested I look through the forums at www.dslreports.com. This did help and I found an entry where it was suggested that I install a driver from USR as the 520+ from DLink uses the same chipset. Anyway, I downloaded and installed the driver from www.usr.com/support/5410/5410-fi···5.0j.exe.

You should do a search on the Intel card you have and hopefully you will have the same good fortune that I did.

Good luck.
