I have a question, I job with Wifi and we have the next LAN configuration, is simple, a router, in the router I have connected two coputers and a Access gateway Colubris 3200, behind the gateway I have a switch where is connected all the Access Points (Buffalo WGL-54). The problem is the next, to check the Access Points, I log in the gateway from one of the two computers, I open the navegator and I put the gateway IP (172.16.0.5), all is ok, I enter in the configuration, and I do natting to see my Access Points, I use the 80 TCP port, I introduce my Access Points IP's, and I redirect to the 60001 port for the first Access Point, 60002, 60003 etc... after this, I put the next URL http://172.16.0.5:60002 and I have access to the Access Point configuration, but the problems is the next:

In some LAN's that I have, this process works ok, but in others I can't access to the Access Points doing the same process (http://172.16.0.5:60002), is strange and I don't know how to do (my boss us ungry :D ), I need to know why I can't access to this Access Points in some LAN's and in the others I can.... the Natting is done, and all is the same!! the different between this LAN's are different routers, and different switches, but to make natting from the Gateway to the AP, the router doesnt's work there, and the switch....I think a switch is transparent....

Some body nows something about this?

Can you ping the access point when that happens?

How about from the computer? And what does the browser have as an error message or are you still in the gateway? I am assuming that you are just opening a browser on the computer and typing the url and having the problem.

Do these computers run IE? In a different version than the others? Sometimes the popup blocker/firewall maybe blocking the login process. Just a thought, unless these computers are identical to the previous ones. .

Well...all the computers has the same O.S. (Win 2000) and no firewalls, antivirus etc... is really, really strange, probably the problem will be any stupid thing, but nobody in our engineering department knows how to do!

Can you describe the addressing scheme used on the computers and all the interfaces of the router, gateway and access points.

Also have you tried connecting an access point directly to the gateway to see if the switch is affecting the situation or not?

Ok, tomorrow i'll tell you something about this, I live in Madrid and is time to sleep :). About the switch, yes, I have probe in the office with a Gateway directly conected to the AP but...the same problem with my PC, and with the other is imposible to do that, one of them is in London, and the other with problems is in Portugal... i connect with VNC to the computers...
