Router shuts down computer

This is a weird problem. When I connect to my router (wrt54g-v5), doesn't seem to matter what kinda adapter I use, my computer is shut down. No warning, it's as if the power to the building is shut off. This was very annoying at first. Now I've been avoiding this problem by selecting stealth mode on my firewall (Kaperski anti-hacker). But I just found out that the stealth mode does not allow me to use port forwarding which I would like to use. Now the problem is annoying again. :) Anyone every hear of anything like this?

Hmmm...that's interesting Psyco...
maybe you should try reseting your router if you have already installed the latest firmware, which I imagine you did. That is what linksys would recommend.
Do that, and then get back to us eagerly awaiting your response.
