TEW-423PI loosing connection with access point (win98)

I have two TEW-423PI (PCI) card installed on two different pc's running Windows 98/SE. Both computers are different brands. I have enabled WPA-PSK/128. The cards works fine for a couple of mins and then it just stops working. If I wait a min and use the Wireless Configuration Utility HW.51 to re-active the card, it starts working for a couple mins again. All the other wireless computers on my network are working fine. I have upgraded my driveres to the current ones offered on trendnet's site. I am connecting to a Qwest DSL wireless access point with WPA enabled and SSID broadcast disabled.
