Iīve got an HP Color Laserjet 3500 printer to which I want to connect a wireless accesspoint. Making it possible to use the printer as a network-printer. The printer has an attached external HP Printerserver as well (not wireless).
My ADSL-router is a D-Link 624+ and the accesspoint is a Topcom SKYR@CER PRO GAMING ADAPTER 454.

I installed the AccessPoint (AP) with no problems, but the router didnt show the device as attached to the wireless network. It was however possible to connect to the AP via IE with its static IP address.

The router is set to Dynamic DHCP, but the AP-manufacturer recommended a static IP-address to the AP. I gave it a static address in the AP-setup.

Am I necessary to set the router to a static IP-address just for the AP?
Via Virtual Client or something?

However did I manage to have some printing-jobs executed, but only randomly...

Any suggestions to what the problem can be?

Shall the channel be the same as the D-Link router?

The wep encryption is set to 128 bits Open system..

The manufacturer recommends the APīs Static IP to be set in the IP-range of the router. That is done as well...

May the problem be in how the printer is set up?

I had a few suggestions until you mentioned that it worked randomly. That will not happen if the configuration is wrong.

When you try to print and you can't, are you still able to access the game adapter by using Internet Explorer?

My first inclination is that the game adapter has issues. But, will reserve my judgement until you answer my question.
