ibm mini pci wifi

just purchased an ibm pci card to fit to my laptop, an ifriend. noticed on packaging that the pci was for ibm only, are there any software programmes about that would allow me to use the device or how to put the link in DOS. :confused:

My I-Friend laptop has a mini pci slot for a wifi card, of which the IBM is of a type. As my laptop is not an IBM the pci card does not work, requiring a DOS key to enable the card. I probably have to buy another pci card that does not require the DOS key as a solution, I was just wondering if any one knew a way around this problem either by DOS or software, before I purchase a new one.
