802.11b and 2.4GHz cameras

Has anyone has any luck with getting 2.4GHz cameras working with their 802.11b network?

I have a WLAN at home and want to setup a nanny cam.
Everything I find on the Internet that is small and easy to install are 2.4GHz (most of the look like the X10 stuff).

Does anyone know of alternatives for small wireless cameras?
Maybe something in the 900MHz range or other freq.

I want to also use the camera to record the activities outside of my house.

All pointers appreciated.
