My question pertains to my motor home. I don't want to bolt on an outside
antenna but still want to get some added range while traveling.

The computer I use is a Toshiba Satellite P-15-S479 with built in wi-fi a,b,g (Atheros AR5001X+)which would have to be switched off.

Which would be better

1 - Seno EnGenius 802.11b USB Wireless adapter NL-2511-UB
2 - Engenius 200mW 3054 plus frisbee long range B/G cardbus card
3 - Orinoco Gold card with 7 db antenna paced on the dash.
4 - Buffalo AirStation 54 B/G with 7 db antenna paced on the dash.

these are the four best that I came up with but I am also open for other suggestions

use a 2511 cd plus ext 2 card for the longest range with antenna mounted outside.

3054 frisbee is a good G card but 2511 cd plus still has longest range.

the usb client only has 50mw

Jeff

Thank you

the Engenius 2511 cd plus ext 2 card was the card I was looking at. However this is a new Motorhome with fiberglass sides and roof and I really don't want to drill holes in it.

What antenna would you suggest ?

Will a antenna that is made for trucks with no ground plane work just placed on the dash in front of that big windshield ?
