DWL 810+ problems

i've installed and configured my wireless bridge. i've set it up in "Infrastructure" mode, which i think is like an access point? i've assigned a wep key, and entered a name for the device etc, but my windows machine, and my linux machine can't see any wireless devices. i've also tried this in an ad-hoc mode, but no luck. does anyboody out there have experience with this device?

Welcome to the forum!

It doesn't seem to be your h'ware, but the O/S configuration. Check if your "Wireless Zero Configuration" started. If you're using WinXP, check WZC under "MY Computer"; if it has stopped; get it started.

Here's how!

My Computer <rt click>
Manage <click>
Services & Applications <open>
Services <click>
Wireless Zero Configuration <rt click> Start
