Hey there,
I seem to have a problem with my 3com officeconnect adsl wireless 11g firewall router, which I bought a little over a year ago. I've set up a network and share my internet connection on my two macs ('ve used pc's on the network as well -problem is always the same).
All works well up until the moment one of my computers goes to sleep. The router seems to 'lose' clients in the network and I have to reset the router to let it handle all of them again. When I try to get my clients to join the wireless network again, it gets accepted at first, but after about thirty seconds it gets thrown off again. Also it only allows three wireless clients, where it should be able to work with over twohunderd.
A simple test: I used a magic packed to wake up one of my computers after I manually set it to hybernation. It woke up fine. Fifteen minutes later I came back, tried the same after the computer went to sleep automatically, and it didn't work.
It's a pain since this problem means I have to reset my router two-three times a day.
I -and a few of my friends who know much more about networking then I- are at a loss. We think it's a hardware problem. How else could everything work fine one moment and get all freaky the next.
Anybody have any bright ideas? I'm in the dark.
