Does stations on adj. channel adhere to csma/ca

Does 802.11b stations on adjacent channels adhere to csma/ca protocol. TO be specific, there are 2 stations - station1 on wlan1 on channel 11 and station2 on wlan2 on channel 10. Both the stations and their associated access points are visible(not hidden) to each other. Can these two stations sense each others transmissions ?

Please help me in this regard. Thank you very much in advance.

prc, they can of course "sense" each other but 10 and 11 are overlapping channles. You should try 11 and 7 unless I'm missing something.
