Is anyone out there using Vonage (or any of the VoIP services, like Verizon's) with a Wi-Fi router in house? Anyone doing it with cordless phones attached to the Vonage phone jacks? Any issues? I'd like to hear what people think of this.

We're using Vonage for an 800 number support line. We've got a cordless phone connected to a Linksys Vonage adapter connected to a router.

Had it for a little over 5 months and it works great.

Eric, we're currently testing Vonage for a few of our “stay at home employee's”. It's got a ton of features (http://www.vonage-forum.com/vonagefeatures.html) that work perfectly for us. Some issues include crackling on the line, sometimes you can hear other voices on the line and to date, the support is not even close to world class which is what we expect when dealing on an enterprise level. Even with it's short comings, it has huge potential to save us big money$$$

I use vonage and am using a cordless phone. The only problem I have had is I occasionally get some echo. I love it because i am saving money big time.

Yep, we have the same intermittent issue with the crackling and the echo. I have two at home connecting over Verizon DSL. We have friends and relatives all over the country so we've saved a few hundred dollars already this year and you know the service is only going to get better. Also the Vonage support is world class. We've had to call a few times for our initial setup then one or two times afterwards but their employees are great and easy to understand  I recommend it to everyone.

You know its funny that I pointed out the lack of support with Vonage and to show that they listen to their customer base, one of our very own contributors just wrote about Vonage's effort to fix the problem. Read his article here! (http://www.voipplanet.com/solutions/article.php/3515081)

Yeah, Avaya is great. They handle support for just about 90% of all Fortune 500 companies. This is sure to help Vonage with after hours support. Now if they can just get rid of this damn crackling sound!
