Newbie Qestion

I have two Windows XP computers and a Qwest DSL connection with a DSL Gateway/Access Point.

I am pretty frustrated trying to connect wirelessly to the second computer.

I hope this question doesn't sound too crazy--if I can't make the wireless connection work, could I simply connect the second computer to the same DSL line with a second access point?

Let's take it a step at a time.

First, does the second computer detect that there is a wireless access point transmitting a signal?

Second, if does, have you instructed your AP to issue IP addresses to those computers being detected (in other words play the role of DHCP)?

I assume that your first computer is plugged into the combination DSL router and AP.

Let's start there.
