What if a WISP customer wants a public static IP address, so that customer can remotely get into his network for management, etc.
Is it all that difficult for a WISP to assign a public IP address to his customer and for that customer to use the public static IP address he was assigned by his WISP?
Right off hand, I'm not quite sure how the WISP would assign a static public IP address to his WISP customer.
The WISP would have something like:
Internet > WISP router > WISP AP > CPE > customers router
But isn't the WISP router NATted? And the customer's router is also NAtted. Thats Nat behind Nat.
So I'm not quite sure how a public static IP address can be assigned to the customer's router for remote management.
Thanks
