So here is the issue....

I have wifi through a company that I live above. Everything was running fairly smoothly at first and then the internet just wouldn't connect randomly. When it is down I have done an ipconfig /all and everything checks out and i even try and release and renew it and it comes up fine. But then it still won't work, i have tried activating/deactivating the XP Zero service and it doesn't seem to have any effect. I have also tried to use a motorola wireless usb modem in addition to my usual Belkin wireless card in my comp. The network key has been entered and reentered numorous times as well as double checking with the guy downstairs and making sure the mac address is configured in the router. But it's always the same situation no matter what I try. Any suggestions? It's soooooooooooo annoying!!!

Do you by any chance have the owner’s permission to use their network?

For things that work one day and not the next, (microwave ovens excepted) sounds like an IP address problem. I take it that the whole network is working with dynamic addressing DHCP? You have released and re-leased your IP so how about you check the status of all the port forwarding addresses on your firewall and in the downstairs router. Like maybe one day he is running only one workstations so your forwarded IPs are valid. Then the next day he switches on an extra workstation, your IP’s are bumped up and no longer work thro firewall port forwarded IPs. Turn off all firewalls with port forwarding and see if you still have a problem. Make sure no item on the network is trying to grab its own static IP when it is switched on. Do the company work 24/7? Is the problem still there when they are not? Maybe you can still navigate the site you are on because the pages are sitting in your HD in your browser cache because of a previous visit there. So this masks true problem.
