If I know the static IP address that an ISP has given me, how can I find out the name of the ISP company?
I think there is a way to do that with some kind of a database. I have heard it is similiar to the "whois" thing for urls...but it is for IP addresses.
I'm not sure, but I think there is some kind of acronymn called ERIN or something like that, that has to do with assigning IP ranges to ISP companies.
Thanks for any info.
