I need some information on 802.11b,g applications in truck and cars’ environement.
Could you please advise how I can get some information or test report about it?
Just for your info, we are thinking about a product which should use 802.11b,g chipset to communicate with some remote bases.
These products will be installed inside a car/truck and the base will be setup outside.

For people with laptop computers that they want to use from inside their vehicles we sell a complete kit for 802.11b which includes a multi polarized antenna, magnetic mount, PCMCIA card, etc. The kit is the NL-2511-MP5-KIT
If you want a network in your car, then you could use our 802.11b/g client bridge with a mag mount antenna. That would be the HR-3054DX with EA-MP5-MAGMount-KIT, or if you want a full feature router, then you could use a HR-IXP42501.
Range calculations would vary on what type of access points you are connecting to. We have a distance calculator excel spreadsheet available on our web site under support.
Check our web site at http://www.hautespot.net for more information.

As I mentioned in my email, we want to use a device equipped with 802.11b/g transceiver inside a truck.
Also a suitable base station will be installed out of truck.
The main concern is truck's engine noise. I need to know if there is any certificate or test report for an environment with active engine and power generators.
Thank you in advance,
Javad
