We are using CISCO 1310 Outdoor bridges and experiencing intermittent signal outage problems. Event Log of the bridge shows error;
“Interface Dot11Radio0, parent lost: deauthenticate with status not valid from parent”

This outage is being observed on continous basis atleast once every 5 to 15 minutes. Tried to change different settings but no significant success. Any expert idea what could be possible cause/solution.

How are your antennas fixed? Are you certain the path is ok?

At first whiff it sounds like the antenna moves in the wind or you may be encroaching to far in the first fresnel zone.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, antennas are properly installed with enough guide wires. The height of client antennas is approximately 6 to 10 meters high and they have clear line of sight path to root bridge antenna, approximately 10 KM distance. One point to note that we don’t had this problem with older “b” standard Cisco 350 bridges. It is happening when we upgraded to 1300 “g” standard.

Have you done a carrier test from both ends? I'm curious as to the noise in your area. Have you ran both radios in "install" mode? How is your alignment? What firmware version are your 1310's running?

Hi ais11,
I have the same issue. Have you had a chance to fix this, and if so would you please feedback the info to me? Firmware or something else? We have gone through changing many things but no luck so far.
Thanks,
S.
