point-to-point or multipoint?

Hi!

I am having a hard time finding info about the technical details of WLAN, I just keep finding security solutions and business models!

My question is: Are WaveLAN cards point to point or multipoint?

This would help me answer to other questions:

A) Can WaveLAN ad-hoc mode be used between only two computers or can several computers use ad-hoc mode to set up a local network?

B) Is it necessary for the WaveLAN access point to carry out IP broadcast emulation by unicasting broadcast messages to all WaveLAN clients?
