Pardon if this is a FAQ, I'm just trying to figure this stuff out.
I've read that 802.11b WEP is relatively easily compromised. Is 802.11a any improvement?
I have seen that some vendors include longer WEP keys (up to 152bit I think). But if my understanding is correct, the problem with WEP isn't the key length. In other words, a possible attack is not a brute force one.
From the security standpoint, do I get anything from going to 802.11a vs. the cheaper (and slower) 802.11b?
