I have an Linksys Wireless Point Router moder BEFW11S4

The problem with this router is, I could connect the ethernet cable to the 'Uplink' port instead of the 'WAN' port and it still worked, but as for my laptop, it has very low signal.

For week, after some many months, I've decided to use my Linksys again and I have no idea how it happened but it worked. The Diagnosis light doesn't stay RED for a very long time and it actually moved up to LINK (green light) and I see one of the four router lights in the front lit up. And I also recieved an excellent signal for my laptop. This lasted for a week until last night, I accidentally pulled the plug and it shut down on me, now it doesn't want to recongize my DSL hub. I've tried LINKSYS support and that site is of no help at all.

Can anyone help me get rid of this 'RED' diagnosis light? I blindly screw around with the TCP/IP setting last week but erased it some few days later and LINKSYS was still up and running. (amazingly)

Now I can't figure it out for the life of me. What am I doing wrong?

Dude, I had the exact same problem on my Linksys unit, the only fix that actually worked was to purchase a new AP (WRT54G).

I tried firmware upgrades, resetting, changing settings, etc etc.

Best of luck.
