My laptop with Netgear wireless PC card and MR814 wireless router worked fine with my previous DSL ISP. When I switched to Time-Warner cable modem, they said they only support a Cat 5 cable connection from my PC to their Toshiba PCX1100U cable modem, so that is how they set it up. I have tried to return to my wireless setup without success. I understand Time Warner does different things in different metropolitain areas for configuration. Is any one familiar with their Minneapolis, MN setup, or have some suggestions. I've done the power down for at least 3 minutes thing, and tried multiple changes in router setup. I am now too confused to relate clearly what has been done. Can anyone suggest a spot to see some applicable logical diagrams or fill-in tables for keeping track of different configuration attempts?

They obviously (http://www.timewarnercable.com/minnesota/products/internet/wireless.html) have no problem with sharing the connection and will even set you up with their wireless option including installation, so I would get on them to either charge you for installation/tech support if they require that for anything beyond the "standard setup", or have them provide you with answers on why your are unable to connect.

Have you tried contacting them via the Internet? (http://www.timewarnercable.com/minnesota/customer/contactus/default.html)

Now days, everyone is sharing their home connections, and the ISPs have for the most part given up trying to prevent it and now offer you the hardware to enable sharing, wireless or otherwise. They're probably just not happy that you have your own hardware already.
