Hi, I'm new to using WiFi, having just bought a netgear PCMCIA card. It works really well outside no probs at all. The problem I have is if I am indoors or in a vehicle(stationary) the signal is a bit flakey, drops really low and frequently disappears altogether. There is no socket for an external antenna on the card, do any of you know of a mobile booster I could use, or some other way of improving my reception. Many thanks Winter_wytch.

Hey there are no such devices as far as my knowledge says.

They have external signal amplifiers but those work with antennae. And since there's no socket for antenna that's ruled out. I dun think there's anyway we can do this using just the client adapter, sorry.

You could sell your current card and try purchasing an Orinoco/Proxim Card, a high power SMC 200mw or a Buffalo card. They all have external antenna connectors. For software stability I recommend the Orinoco/Proxim.
