Here is my situaition. I have cable modem connected to a linksys wireless .11b router. I have 2 hardwired machines (Windows based) and a HP Pavillion ze4547 laptop (wireless). I have a linksys .11b wireless NIC. Now the problem is I can not view wireless networks. My router is set to broadcast SSID and does (I check with friend computer). I can connect to the internet from a nieghbor with an unsecured wireless router. WHich means the NIC is working properly. (Im using that connection now) the problem is when I go to view wireless network, the dialog box is completely grayed out (disabled) the only button enabled is cancel. I have searched the net for about 4 hours now I believe that I am the only person in the world with this problem urrrrrrrrr...
