I have recently in the last few days been experiencing some problems with the wireless network on my laptop. Every five minutes or so it completely cuts out and I have to reconnect. I feel like I could be getting some interference from something that is causing me to completely lose the signal for a few minutes at a time. I recently noticed that my neighbors have satalite dish on the side of their house. With the frequency that I am losing the signal could it be due to the use of a remote control powering that dish. My boyfriend suggeted to me that the channel/channels may need to be changed (router/modem?) but is unsure how to do so. We have a DSL modem with an ACTIONTEC wireless card that worked flawlessly until two days ago. I am not sure if the satelite dish has been there for a while or if it was just added. I did only notice it three days ago. Any help would be apprciated.

If your Actiontec is thru Qwest, call them and they will walk you thru changing your channel. This is how we were able to change our channel. The number we called was 1-800-247-7285.
