I am trying to install a D-Link DWL-G700AP Access Point on an existing wired network. Trying to make a conference room wireless. I am having problems putting multiple users on the network. The wireless indicator in the systray show that all clients are communicating with the access point, however I cannot access any network resources. I get a message saying the device already exists on the network. I have given the AP a valid IP address that I can ping.
I am not sure I am configuring the AP properly.
The AP configuration asks for an IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS. Our current network uses DHCP which passes DNS. Do I need to provide Gateway and DNS if we already have the network using DHCP? Should I enable DHCP on the AP? I am getting myself confused and need some help! Is there any other reason why I would be having this problem. Also I notice when I do an ipconfig /all the IP for the client says 0.0.0.0.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
