Jim Geier, the founder of Wireless-Nets is the author of Wireless LANs (2nd Edition) http://www.wireless-nets.com/book.htm
Its a great book that covers planing and implementation of Vowlan.

Do you guys know what the highest Latency would be on VoIP before you can't stand VoIP?

Like I know I have customers that told me they have tried VoIP with...
StarBand, and Direct Way...They run about 2500ms - 2000ms...

I know LAN is about 0-20ms
I know Cable Modem (Charter) is about 80-100ms

I know we had a Wireless product that came to our area that was using Wi-fi in the Cell Phone Spec... That was about 300-400ms

Whats a good VoIP range to be in?

40ms seems to ring a bell. This appears to be the max latency used to describe the VoIP-type traffic streams in the latest QoS draft. (I can double check that number.) Not sure how the number was reached.

The actual number is 30ms, according to 802.11 usage model. This is based on "ITU-T G.114 300ms round-trip delay G.711 Codec" according to the document.

If you think this is tough to meet, "interactive gaming" presents some even tougher challenges. The suggested maximum delay is 16ms for controller to console and 10ms for console to display.
