Here's my setup:
DSL...using Netgear MR814v2 Router....
Computer 1 - ...XP...ethernet connection
Computer 2 - ...ME...MA111 USB wireless adapter
Computer 3 - ...ME...MA111 USB wireless adapter
Had everything running fine until Computer 3 had to go in for some work and had the OS reinstalled. Since it returned 3 weeks ago, the internet has been working just fine, so we didn't realize there were any problems until yesterday when we attempted to share a file between Computer 3 and Computer 1 and discovered that Computer 3 is not visible on My Network Places. In fact, when I click on My Network Places and then click Entire Network, I get a message that the computer is unable to browse the network.
I've verified that all the configurations network adapter match the settings on the other computer. It almost appears that it's not logged on to the network....but I've never set things up to require logging on, so I'm not sure if that's the case or not.
Prior to telling me there was a problem, my son did run the Internet Connection Wizard....perhaps that complicated things?
I feel like I've been chasing my tail on this and just want to start all over with this machine....but not sure the best way to go about it.
I'd sure appreciate some hand-holding here.....
Frustrated mom,
