I've got an IBM ThinkPad 390E running Windows 2000 Pro. I'm trying to install the WPC55AG notebook adapter on this machine to connect with my Linksys WRT54G wireless router. So far, no connection, Lan monitor says card is working, however nothing shows up on the site survey.

I've heard that there are some compatibility issues with the Linksys card and the Texas Instruments PCI-1251 CardBus controller, however no one I've spoken to seems to know how to fix it.

Anyone got any ideas, before I throw this card into the lake?

Did you check the event log and device manager to see if the device is indeed working correctly? Try getting the latest drivers for the card as well. Tech support will want that right away any how.

What are you trying to associate with and are both nodes configured the same?

Yes, the card is working properly,
but the card insists it can't associate with the access point. They're both configured
properly, the darn thing just doesn't wanna hook up with the router.

I've downloaded and applied all the Win2k
updates on microsoft's website, and I've gotten the most recent driver for the card from Linksys.

Would you be able to try the notebook and card combination on another working node to check it out? I still would like to know more about the entire network and what the notebook is trying to associate with.
