Dial-up 56k wifi?

I have been dying for 2 years to get wifi... only problem is I'm out in the middle of nowhere & can't afford satelite. I can live with slower speeds, but will 802.11g work at all for me??? I live on a lake & would love to be out side at least reading e-mail on the dock. Thanks, Spider

Wireless will work independently of the type of Internet connection you have. The only problem with a dial up is that you may have to start it and then use the wireless connections.. There are a few wireless gateways that allow using a modem backup.

I also know that the Apple Airports support dial-up access if youre interesting in going that route.
