WISP Roaming Standards

Hi there,

I was wondering about WISP Roaming and the standards used for transaction data interchange. Are there any standards right now? Is there plain ASCII record interchange, or is a standard like TAP used at all? Are there any clearing houses working in this area?

There are no standards that I know of to-date. I'm participating in WECA;s WISPr (Wireless ISP Roaming) committee, and we're in the process of developing a best practices document for roaming. Not sure yet how this will manifest into a standard, but it's a start. Unfortunately, this document is not been released for public eyes.
