Ok, any responses can be fairly technical as I'm an A+ technician and an M.C.S.E so here goes. Anyone have any idea why my Intel 2100 mini adapter on my centrino laptop running xp pro will connect fine and show the internet gateway in network connections, until i enable either wep wpa? It connects and authenticates, but no internet gateway. I've disabled the windows zero wireles config in services, and I'm using the Intel proset. Still no luck. I've checked all of the setings, AND even went the manual route of entering configs manually. Still no luck.

Hehe, nevermind, figured it out, gotta use a manual 64 hex key for the wpa though. It doesn't like the passphrases.

So you are good to go? That is an important thing to remember, especially if you are trying to link different vendor's equipment. I know it is a pain, but I never use a passphrase. That way it will not be the reason for not working.

I've also fallen victim to the passphrase vs hex wep key problems between different vendors.

If you need anything else in the way of security and configuration help, I've setup IAS, MS Radius w/certificate server and Proxim AP-2500 to do MS PEAP authentication through my AD domain at work. Any help in this area is gladly offered!
