Hi there, i am having some problems with two ORINOCO AP-500 (latest firmware on the APs ) set up in an office serving 15 users, some with silver others with gold cards some are PCMCIA some are USB CLIENTS. The clients have Win98 and some laptops with W2KPro and XP.
The server is Windows NT 4.0 is the domain controller and it is connected to the APs using UTP cable and a CISCO switch, everybody else uses wireless cards.
The two APs are separated 15 to 17 meters from each other and when i was dong tests with a Laptop i was able to roam between them at 11mbit/s ( i did this installation 2 months ago ) right now the problem is that sometimes users connect at 5.5mbit/s other times at 11mbit/s and they loose conectivity within network neighborhood (all the users are static, they do not move from there cubicles ) they can not browse for other computers, there is a printer attached to one of the machines with a USB client acting as a print server and suddenly they just canīt find the printer. i donīt know what to do because the monitor shows noise levels are minimum, both APs are accesible from the monitor ( this means it recognizes them ) any ideas ?
THANKS.
