I debated whether to post here or in the Interoperability forum. But I thought more people would check it out here. Even more so than the Troubleshooting forum. It appears that the proprietary nature of brands is on the upswing and will cause more problems than now. Check out the link:

Thanks mpkn3rd.

We are thinking of selling pc cards at the hotels that have our WiFi installed.

I will be sure to check that those cards are WiFi compliant.

Planet I see you are in Reading, PA. I'm comming to Reading this coming Tuesday to do a site survey at a local hotel.

Have a nice weekend.

Let me guess, the old Lincoln Plaza Hotel Downtown?

Thats not the one.

I probably shouldn't say on here. At least not til I get the job.

I use to go to Reading a lot to take my wife there to the discount shopping center. Great buys. Good clothes. I just forget the name of the good shopping center.

If you have any ideas on how I can find more places that might want WiFi in their hotels, etc. I'm open to any ideas.

We have a good WiFi system to sell at a good price. I just don't know how to let the right people know.

Funny this came up.

The top two things I am seeing in my nefarious travels is:

The XP wireless zero configurator abomination

and devices that do not have or support MIC and TKIP (Cisco extentions)

Anybody else have other encounters to share?

Amen, especially to the Windows Zero Config. I am beginning to loath the Centrino/miniPCI combination. Hope Intel gets it right the second time around.
