I have no idea why every minute or so there is a complete loss of signal for a period of about 2 seconds with my WLAN. I have a traffic analyser that distinctly shows a signal loss. Is it a configuration issue or is it normal. I am using a Linksys BEFW11S4 ver2 router and a Belkin usb wireless adapter if it is of any use to anyone.

BigMac,

Is it possible you are getting interference from other 802.11 or 2.4GHz band devices. If you have 2.4GHz phone it may be the cause of it.

Try varying the channels your router is using, and see if you get better reception on some of them.

Thanks for your post, but there doesn't seem to be any interference. My phone operates on 900MHz and I have a cordless keyboard on 27.045MHz. I found something out though : when I access the control panel for my antenna, it shows every minute Scanning... So I know that it is not an interference problem, since my signal loss is at a regular interval(every minute). Is this a configuration problem or is it normal (I hope not...). What is the next step in solving my problem?
