I wanted to know that whether the RTS/CTS frames used in 802.11 A MAC layer are broadcast frames or unicast frames.

JimGeier 08-26-2002, 05:18 PM Both RTS and CTS frames are sent as unicast frames. The receiver address of a RTS frame is the address of the station where the source station wants to send either a data or management frame. The station receiving the RTS will copy the transmiter address from the RTS frame for use as the receiver address within the CTS frame.
