If you're looking for companies that only do baseband/MAC + RF chips, here's a quickie list off the top of my head:

Intersil (http://www.intersil.com) (the biggie in 802.11 chips)
Atheros (http://www.atheros.com) (big in 802.11a)
Resonext (http://www.resonext.com)
Systemonic (http://www.systemonic.com )
Bermai (http://www.bermai.com)
Marvell (http://www.marvell.com)

Others that may or may not have the RF chip with them, I haven't done enough research on them to be sure:

Texas instruments (http://www.ti.com)
NextComm (http://www.nextcomm.com)

I hope that gets you started. Anyone else with listings of companies that carry Baseband/MAC processors and/or radio chips to go with them, please list them here.
