Once I put MAC Filter back on I was able to download files from the wireless PC for the first time!!
The test: I went back to legit website w/ a strong server. Downloaded a 10 mb file, the wireless PC was able to perform the download at 20 kb/sec for the first time!(took about 8-10 min) I went over to my main wired PC (direct wired to the SMC 2804 router), it downloaded the same file at a 250 kb/sec rate in under 1 min.
I'm happy its working, but is a wired/wireless d/l ratio of 10:1 acceptable w/ 71% RF signal strength?
What wired to wired/wireless d/l ratios are are you guys seeing??
wireless Web surfing is pretty fast, maybe 80% wired PC
By the way putting the mac filter also allowed my kids to play Diablo 2 on the wireless PC for the 1st time!
