Is there anyone within the confines of the forum using Signaling System 7?
Theory
See I have this theory that SS7 maybe oneday be used as application for all the wireless protocols and maybe even consolidated with another telephony protocol. I am still learning about this software package but I think this might be of some use in the near future to a major player such as Verizon, AT&T,Cisco and or even defense contractors. The reason why I say this is because it would be a faster means of transporting infromation via the Wi-Fi community but also having a specific swicthing protocol like SONET. SONET would be used from the CO to the cloud via and ATM switch and then switched back to an ethernet data form such as FDDI and maybe support a bank or an office area or be a redundant system to the Wireless network that is coming from the PAD in case of solar flares erupting thus interfering with the Earth's magnetic field and creating EMI. I hope someone can use this thought or elaborate on it a little bit more in depth.
