I am trying to get a better understanding of the Bluetooth protocol used within the wireless community. Is there anyone in this forum whom has a good understanding of Bluetooth? Or is there any websites that are good for self teaching a new Wi-Fi person. I have found this website and was wondering if there were any others.
Enjoy

Hi InfraMan
Bluetooth technology is a revolutionary technology in communications in a sense that it builds a piconet (PAN - Personal Area Network). Bluetooth enabled devices can literally talk to each other by establishing a wireless network amoungst themselves. Imagine a network of bluetooth enabled PC, Refragurator, Pen, AC, Mobile Phone and a PDA in your living room. As easy as it gets, you can upload the information on ur PDA to ur PC in a matter of milli-seconds, you can take notes using the bluetooth enabled pen and have them automatically saved on ur PC, get a Bluetooth enabled Handset and you can roam around in your room while taking on the mobile lying inside ur cupboard, lying on the bed you can have ur mobile phone to control the temperature of your AC, your pc can be scheduled to alter the temperature according to the requirements inside the refergurator while you are out. and many many many other things.
Basically they'll create a Network of their own, one of them being master and others being slaves. The master takes care of all the communications b/w the devices. The slaves can only talk to the master, that too when master asks them if they wanna communicate to someone (using even slots). If this being the case the master will assign a slot (odd slot) to the slave. The effective datarate is close to 250kbps. There are no collisions possible in a single piconet hense providing excellent Quality of Service. The QoS in this techniology is amazing. If you want to know the details regarding that I'll be happy to tell it but it could take a while to explain this at this time.
As far as the websites are concerned, off the top of my head here is one http://searchnetworking.com.
Be specific as to what exacly about Bluetooth you want to know and I'll try to answer at my level best ... P.S. please don't mind the spelling/gramatical mistakes ...
