can someone plz explain how you calculate antenna ranges? for example if we use an access point transmitting 100mw of power,with an omnidirectional antenna of 18dbi what would be the range of the signal it tranmits,and if we use a yagi antenna of 18dbi? i'm confused because in the cwna study guide they only mention the 6db rule, in which each +6db = doubling of the range.
