Network Management for Wireless Network

Hi guys, i am currently doing a project on the following topic:
"Network Management for Wireless Network".

But i can't seems to find any information on the above topic. Can anyone help me with this? Basically, i need to have the concept, application (software and/or hardware), advantages and disadvantages of the technology and also the future development / trends.

Can anyone provide me any information on the above mentioned? Your help is greatly appreciated..... Thanks

Ive been working in what I would call WLAN management for a few years with a company called Roving Planet. Management is a loose term, I break it into sub categories as following:

AP Configuration Tools - These are sometimes manufacturer specific or across multiple vendors. These products' goals are to allow an administrator configure, update firmware, etc for multiple access points.

WLAN switches - These are manufacturers with technology to split the radio from some of the intelligence, putting that intelligence back on a switch.

Access Controllers - These are L3 gateway manufacturers with subnet roaming and IPsec tunneling for security.

While each has different featuresets and objectives, ironically any of the above categories would consider themselves "WLAN Management".

This post was really meant to describe the industry. I didn't include company names here because I didn't want this to be a commercial or launch a thread on product strength/weaknesses. If you want to discuss this more please contact me.

Thanks a lot. I have already try to do a search from google. But all those results are not the one that i want. What i want is some concept and the technology use for network management for wireless network.... So not sure whether you all can help? thanks
