does anyone know where i could find information on the chipsets used in wireless NICs? specifically looking for enterasys, linksys, cisco, and 3com. the wesites don't seem to offer much.

I would look at the websites of Intersil, Agere, Broadcom, and TI for infromation on the chipset side. The companies you mentioned are the actually hardware providers.
