I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to find specifically where 802.11b access points are in a building? It is for a class. I was planning on using a directional antenna, most likely a yagi antenna.
Thanks

I suppose that you could use an Agere card. The drivers give you a nice scrolling graph of Signal to Noise ratio, with the yagi you could experiment.

Agere is Orinoco is Avaya was all LT
Orinoco silver/gold cards do come with great monitoring software which will find AP's. They are priemum cards, barring that you could use Net Stumbler (google search-> Net Stumbler download)
works great when you using lower end cards that provide little or no client managers, such as linksys cards.
