I have a Broadband connection, to which a D-Link Wireless Router is connected. Have 2 Laptops - 1 with a Netgear MA401 Wireless PC PCard & the other Linksys Wireless PC Card.

The Wireless part of the network stops functioning for no apparent reason. The wired part functions perfectly when the wireless part is down.

I have tried the following -

1. Upgraded the firmware on the router to the latest available.
2. Changed the Channel Number from 1-11

But the problem still persists. SOmetimes the connection stays for couple of hours sometimes couple of minutes.

I am at total loss and do not understand what to do next.

Can somebody help me?

Ok, i also had this problem, there is a setting in the Advanced, Performance, section at the bottom there is a setting for 4X mode, disable that feature and u should be fine, it is a proprietary thing that D-link uses with there wi-fi products to boost the speed if yours doesn't support it you'll be dropping like crazy. Hope that helps

thanks, but my router setup doesn't seem to have any 'Performance' setting under 'Advance'.

But Thanks anyway.
