I hope soemone here can help because Belkin sure doesn't want to.

I have ourchased on for their Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router about a year ago and have nothing but problems since.

I have what they say is the latest firmware (even though it lists as beta in the setup program).

My two main problems are poor range. The router is on the second floor and I can't go to the kitchen which isn't even 40 ft away. I can come to the kitchen but soon as i sit at my table it drops connection. Bummer! Any to boost this single or lenghten the antenna or something?

Second thing it just loses contact with my computers and/or my ADSL modem and the only way to get it back is to unplug and restart the router. Any idea here?

I have talked to Belkin support after spending 30 min on hold to the UK from Denmark the answer was"our mosr recent firmware is all you need. Well I did this and as stated before it says its beta and still no difference. And heres a good one. In the set up software setting are not explained in the least. There is a footnote on the pages that says refer to manual for explaination. Well the only thing that comes with the router was a quick set up guide. When I asked support where the manual they are refering to should be he said "There isn't one". I love it!

Anyway any help would be great here. Or i am selling and getting a better router. thanks

i have had similar problems with my Linksys Wireless G Router.

After many painful hours of tinkering with the linksys i chucked it and bought a buffalo tech wireless router. Works much better. So far all pcs have not lost connection.. the range is not as good as the linksys.. but i did buy a more powerful antenna for the linksys and i haven't gotten one for the buffalo tech one yet. That'll be the next step.

Info on the new router:

AirStation 54Mbps Standard Bridge Base Station, 802.11g
Manufacturer: Buffalo Technology
Mfg Part #: WLA-G54

Got mine at Compusa

I don't know if they will ship to denmark or not. probably best to look for it there.
