I have DWL-G520 NIC and it connected to DWL-2000AP (AP) that connected to DI-704P (Router)
Now when I start or restart computer that has WIFI NIC it cannot connect to the Internet … but it saying that I’m on the network and the signal is good….
I found that if I press “rescan” button my Internet connection is coming back and the signal becoming excellent… but I don’t want to press rescan button each time I start my computer…
So what can I do with it?

Alexus -- Couple of questions:
1. What operating system are you using on your computer?
2. Are you sure that you have setup your DHCP correctly? When you rescan, you are essentially asking for the router to issue you an IP. Of course, this should be automatic if the router is setup or working correctly.

1. Operations system Win XP SP1.5
2. DHCP is working fine for local(not wireless) clients
3. DHCP is running on the Router but not on the AP
(Its a goot point, I probably have to set DHCP on AP and make exclusion of IPs on the router..., but unfortunatly I cant exclud IPs range in router DHCP)

I had a similar problem with D-link wifi cards. I had to disable the windows "zero config" and just use Dlink's software, wich is much better then the windows XP crap.
To do this, in the properties for your wireless connection, uncheck the "Let windows configure my wireless network" check box.
That should give you something to try.

I fought this also with Dlink adapter and XP/ You have to check the box "connect to un protected networks" and as stated earlier uncheck the windows config. Also found a few more tweaks in order to "associate" and make internet work. Try latest drivers for the card and reseting default values on TCPIP on the wireless adapter.
More stuff to try, I finally got mine to work everytime but roaming is still and issue for laptops.

Well the check box for connection to unsecure nerworks is unchecking back automaticaly (so I can do nothing to it)
But reseting TCP/IP setings might work... I'll try that... who knows...
PS: I'll probably will use another client adapters, since we have problems with D-Link...
