wifi sniffer

does anyone know of a good sinffer software work on my ipaq h 5555 with WM2003

Dunno if it will work, but I use airscanner (http://www.airscanner.com/) with my IPAQ 3765 & orinoco gold.

that one is a VIrus scanner, what I am looking for is Network scanner or sniffer

It is a scanner, pay attention to the web site and follow the products links to the correct page. They have a/v software and scanning s/w, both free for non-commercial use. Learn how to search/surf effectively.

tried it last night but did not work on my iPAQ H5555, it looks like work only on PPC 2002 devices but not on WM2003 Devices

WM2003 has hosed the functionality of many programs/apps. If you are interested in using Airscanner keep an eye on their forums (http://discuss.cewindows.net/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=AirScanner+Forum&number=56) , such that they are, to see if/when things get straightened out. You can also try PocketWarrior, maybe you'll have better luck.

I use Airmagnet on my Ipaq 5450 but it does cost.
Apart from that I dont know of any others that work on my Ipaq. There is mini stumbler but this is just a scanner, but not a sniffer.

...and I believe the current version of MiniStumbler will not work w/internal wifi. The new version has been reported to work with some internal wifi but has not been released yet. Check stumbler.net and netstumbler.com for updates.

I have tried both vxUtil and vxSniffer on my iPAQ , vxUtil work like a charm I love it, vxSniffer did not work on my iPAQ H5555 I guess its a OS problem.
there is vxIPconfig or something like that not sure of the name but its for release and renew the IP Address and DHCP

i use cesniffer in combination with the cambridge software. its not free but i find it reliable.

i use pocket warrior with a ipaq 3700 with a linksys compact flash nic and it works great and gives you quit a bit of info about the access point so you can go back to it with something like air snort or nmap
